The first volume of The Essential BK followed the first five years of BK's music, mostly focusing on the dark and lyrical rap style that started in 2011 with The Greenery Report and culminated with Sanity Requiem in 2015. After this period of personal, depressing, and continually refined rap music, BK shifted gears completely to focus on experimental music. What resulted was an improvisational and psychedelic style of performance with a variety of bands like Baez and Clearly Not Shrimpy for their newly created record label, Three Penis Productions. This compilation follows this period of intense inspiration and seemingly unlimited productivity. These songs are often unhinged, silly, and sometimes downright stupid. All the hits from the past few years are here, including appearances from Big Belly Baez, P.L.E.B., Four Burly Murses, and many more bands, plus several solo tracks recorded in the experimental, improvisational, and eccentric style BK is now known best for today.
